The CAN DO Community Foundation recently honored Precision Design for its in-kind contributions to the Foundation.
“The Foundation has looked to Precision Design’s expertise to expand our communication and public relations, and the agency has been generous with its time and talent to help us promote the good things we are doing for the people of our communities,” said Gary F. Lamont, Foundation president.
Precision Design developed a new website for the CAN DO Community Foundation that highlights the Foundation’s community involvement. The website features information about the foundation, its accomplishments, the scholarships it offers and news, along with a way to donate online.
“Through the efforts of Precision Design, the Foundation has improved its communication and public tools to better inform the greater Hazleton community of its projects and accomplishments,” Lamont said.
Precision Design President David C. Haupt said, “The CAN DO Community Foundation is benefitting many worthwhile causes throughout the region and we are happy to be a part of its efforts. The website we created shares the Foundation’s success stories while letting others know how they can support the important work of the Foundation.”
The presentation to Precision Design was made during a Foundation board meeting at Ferrwood Music Camp, one of the Foundation’s largest projects. After “adopting” the camp in Butler Township in the early 2000s, the Foundation undertook a 10-year restoration project that made significant improvements to the camp, allowing hundreds of young children the opportunity to learn music and improve their skills. The restoration was completed in 2012.
The CAN DO Community Foundation supports worthwhile community projects, making a difference and improving the greater Hazleton community. The foundation’s mission is to select projects that will benefit from conservation, preservation and reclamation of distressed landscape and historic and other locally significant buildings. “CPR – Breathing New Life into Our Community” is the foundation’s slogan, referring to its mission.
